About Us

This is how the story of Stretchery began. Childhood friends Jeenie and Nirali, had never imagined that one day they would be sharing their life passion. Nirali studied design and worked for one of India’s top jewelry brands. Jeenie studied commerce and started exporting Indian dance costumes to dance schools overseas. Like all best friends, they traveled, gossiped and share some of the best memories of their lives. But over some years with their own fitness journeys they recognized a major gap in the market for indigenous brands in active wear and yoga wear.

Emerging from that idea began their research and study of what, how , where, why and why not. After many months they settled on the idea of sustainable and Organic clothing and it was not just a gap that they realized they wanted to fill but also be a bigger gap of perspectives, mindsets and conscience. They flexed their inexperienced muscles, and several sleepovers, coffee sessions, research trips, and samples later, they launched Stretchery on August 1, 2014. Stretchery, a clothing line celebrating ‘made in India’, for consumers who seek connections with things they do, to make fashion meet fitness, making people more sensitive towards right clothing and environmental impact. “Comfort to help you breathe easy, Style so you can flaunt it, and in line with your Conscience.” The duo works endlessly to deliver, innovate, and offer operating from two different continents the distance between them is now constant, but the communication is also constant. Stretchery is open 24x7. Based in New Delhi and San Francisco , we work with a cotton farmers’ co-op for sourcing and with a sustainable and Fair trade factory for all our production. We strongly believe in - Reuse and Recycle! All the fabric is carefully chosen from the excess stock from other productions. We believe in reducing the waste and reusing it for new collections. Less can be more and we are on the journey of making that happen in the best possible way.
